Confirmation again!

A longing fulfilled is a tree of life.  Proverbs 13:12

How do you discover your sense of divine destiny?  It's not complicated. Your destiny has to do with what excites you.  What are you passionate about?  What do you really love doing?  Your destiny will be a part of the dreams and desires that are in your heart, part of your very nature.  Because God made you and He is the One who put those desires within you in the first place, it shouldn't surprise you that your destiny will involve something that you enjoy.  -Joel Osteen

Praise God! I have been seeking for diection with my life and now i have found the answer! Lord knows me better than I do! So now I'm gonna pursue the things I am passionate about. Blessings everyone!

Confirmation!!!

The one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Matthew 13:23

Joel Osteen's inspiration- "Sometimes the best thing you can do is break away from negative people and put yourself in a healthy, positive, faith-filled environment. This is extremely critical, because it doesn't matter how great the potential is in the seed; if you don't put it in good soil, it will not take root and grow."

Lord I so needed to hear that!!! You are so awesome and I love you!

Waipahu Festival Market Place

On Saturday I took my mom to Waipahu Festival Market Place located across of the Old Arakawa's. My impression when I walked in there...a small scale of Chinatown. And I figured out why everyone goes there the produce is reasonable, economical, or as others would say dirt cheap!

Here are the pictures of the marketplace. Check out the sign on one of the pictures, "100% pure baboy", that's pig in Filipino. I had to bust out laughing. Also, "Free Clean Fish", does that mean you can just take it our they already took the scales off and the guts out.

I had fun and I was just amazed at what I saw. The last two pictures are Filipino desserts: the tapioca one with chunks of ube (sweet potato) is called paradosdos and the orange recess peanut butter cup looking dessert with coconut topping is called kunchita. Both were so ONO!!!

Christmas Run...

Christmas morning I went running along the beach. It was an awesome time of reflection. Thanking the Lord for all that He has blessed me with. The beach is some place where I can just talk with the Lord. It's amazing what He reveals when you listen to Him.

I have NO regrets and now I am ready to pursue the journey He wants me to take. Don't know what will happen but I know with God as the center I can't go wrong. Press on everyone the Lord has so much more to reveal to all of us! Enjoy the pictures I took while on my run.

The waves were rocking! Love the footprints photo and the shot video of the ocean roar! I love you Jesus! video

Gingerbread Houses...

I love gingerbread in any way shape or form. My friend blessed me with two gingerbread houses...thank you so much for your creation. Here's the picture of the house so beautiful to eat but the kids loved it! Gotta love the Christmas season with all the wonderful eateries!

Holiday Treats...

My favorite holiday treat is mochi from Mochi Lady. Here's a couple of pictures of these heavenly desserts...the platter looks heavenly. The white with red dot mochi is the Strawberry with An the middle picture is the inside of the mochi. The green mochi with peanuts on top is chunky peanut butter with an. Onolicious mochi so soft and the filling were divine! The pink mochi with coconut flakes around it is haupia (coconut cream filling), the white mochi with a brown dot is chocolate and the brown mochi with coconut around it is coffee filling.

Check out the Mochi Lady at her website. By the way the Ladies make all of these mochi by hand and usually orders for Christmas are taken in January of the following year. Yes that is right eleven months before the actual event.

Mele Kalikimaka a me Hauoli Makahiki Hou!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! I know I've been MIA for awhile but rest assured I had a lot going and I want to share with you some things that I experienced since Thanksgiving!

Well, Christmas was simple for me this year. I sent out my annual Christmas picture and newsletter to most people. As for gifts, I concentrated only on my family, well, mainly the children or keiki in Hawaiian.

Funny how life unfolds in front of you...as I received Christmas cards I am so amazed at how my friend's kids have grown. I stepped up on my active and healthy lifestyle. But you know I wouldn't have been able to do this without God first and foremost. He's my focus in all that I do and without Him I am nothing.

So true isn't it? That in the simplest of things we find the deepest meaning. It is only through God's grace that in my Christmas cards that I receive I get the deepest thoughts that really touched my heart. Only God knows how to open my eyes to not look very far for the deeper meaning of life. People you know can show you how to live with God through their words and actions. Thank you Lord for teaching me that I am someone who can be taught by everyone I meet.

Have a blessed Christmas everyone!!!

Big Kahuna's Pizza Honolulu, Hawaii

I recently went to Big Kahuna for some ono pan pizza. They are known for their garlic balls, which is smothered in cheese and garlic. My sisters wanted the kalua pig sandwich which was smothered in Hawaiian BBQ sauce. Here are some pictures of the restaurant and the food we ate. Sorry I forgot to take pictures of the Kalua Pig sandwich...it was pretty huge!
Food is delicious and worth it! Kalua Pig sandwich was $8 (US), Garlic Balls $6 (US) and my 7" Spinach, Garlic, Tomato pizza was $7 (US).

Welcome home dinner...

so sorry I forgot about these pictures...

Before our friend's big wedding in August we had a dinner for our friends from the Pacific Northwest. It was a homecoming for one of our Portland friends so we had some of the foods that he loves. Here are the pictures...we had baked salmon topped with crab, mushrooms, etc. (no shellfish for me, unfortunately), pork adobo, pinakbet (vegetable dish), poke (raw fish with seaweed), etc. We had fun reminiscing and chatting too bad life couldn't be so carefree every day.

things happen for a reason...

Got a message that on this day, God wants me to know...
... that there are no accidents. What you think of as accidents are simply your conversations with God that you haven't yet been able to understand. But take heart, all happens in God's will and every conversation has deep meaning for you.

Lord, you just know what I needed to hear. Everything happens for a reason. I know that but some times I forget. Today many people ask me if my job is safe. Safe? Nothing in life in guarantee. The only guarantee I have in my life is God. Yes! God is constant in my life and no matter what I am going through I know He's there protecting me, carrying me and hugging me when I need it.

So as we all patiently wait to see if we still have jobs, if we endure pay cuts, or if we look forward to furloughs I can only pray. Pray for myself, my family, my friends and my company. I pray that God continues to touch your heart and give you the confidence that every thing will be alright. And it will all in His time not ours.

Okay I have to prepare my resume and fill out applications. Yes I am trusting in the Lord but I'm not going to be unprepared should I loose my job. Take care and God Bless! ~kamuela

Love is a special thing...

Got a message that on this day, God wants me to know...

... that you've been skipping out on God's most important gift to man - love. Love is the blood of the soul. God wants all beings to have healthy and strong... souls, so God created a simple law to nourish the soul: the more you give love, the more you receive love. Remember all the beings you love - people, animals - that you haven't thought of lately. Do not wait anymore, reconnect with them today and express your love.

thank you Lord! I so needed to hear this! Love is something that I experience from my family, friends and even animals. God is such a character...he always seems to show me what I need to know when I needed it. Now reconnecting with others that will be interesting...I've already reconnected with a lot in facebook. Such an wonderful social network but I don't like the games and the way hackers try to get into your system. Oh well, just be careful if you decided to join facebook and be selective on what you do.

Have a blessed week!
